What

Regional Transformation is the catalyst for the WIRED approach that creates the economy of the future. WIRED, which stands for Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development, is a national initiative that stresses the critical role of human capital and talent development for effective economic development strategies.

WIRED goes above and beyond traditional strategies in workforce preparation. Regional Transformation is a team effort of local, regional, state, and federal entities; academic institutions; investment groups; foundations; and business/industry groups to address the challenges associated with building a globally competitive and prepared workforce. WIRED doesn’t stop at state geopolitical boundaries. In the case of the Quad-States region (often referred to as the “Four-States”), WIRED encompasses the natural labor market shared by Southwest Missouri, Southeast Kansas, Northeast Oklahoma, and Northwest Arkansas.
